Pancious Pancake, Foods for Books
There is a unique way to raise social awareness. 'Foods for Books' is a marketing program conducted by Pancious Pancake that combines the hobby of food photo and the use of social media such as Instagram. Each photo uploaded on Instagram must uses hashtags "#foodsforbooks" that is worth 5,000 rupiahs to provide children books for mobile library in North Halmahera. The interesting program was held from September to October 2015 in all Pancious Pancake outlets. The total donation of 50 millions rupiahs has been donated by Mrs. Fransisca Tjong, Pancious Group's Marketing Director to Beatrice Mertadiwangsa, Wahana Visi Indonesia's Donor Acquisition Manager.
The Body Shop, Beauty of Giving
The real beauty starts from the heart. Coordinating with Wahana Visi Indonesia, The Body Shop encourages customers to create the real beauty through a donation program called "The Beauty of Giving". The Body Shop Indonesia aims to spread the spirit of giving through the mobile library program. The collected donation will be used to provide a mobile library for children in North Halmahera. According to the data of Wahana Visi Indonesia at North Halmahera Operational Office, there are 40% children above 10 years in who are still illiterate. They cannot write and read, although they are already sixth graders. Besides supporting mobile library, The Body Shop Indonesia also gives books and post cards with motivational quotes from the staff of the company.
